Hello,

Is there a way to use an overnight feature with Scheduler (week view)? I know that timeline views support such kind of setup, but unfortunately, I cannot archive the same behavior with the week view.

We use a week view scheduler without concrete dates. User sees a full week where he can adjust timeslots. Then we use this time slots to build series. Therefore, everything what was entered for one week will be extrapolated to all next weeks in the future. Everything is good, besides one case: overnight from Sat to Sun (week view starts from Sun and ends by Sat). By default, it creates an overnight slot for next Sun, but we need an overnight for the first Sun in the week (it looks like a cycle in context of one week).

Thanks, Dima.

Hello Dima,

I am not quite sure if I fully understand the described scenario. Does the configuration from our Timeline Overnight view demo covers your case? If no, may I ask you to send as a small isolated sample, which reveals the problem observed? Could you, also, explain a bit in detail, what is the required result?

Hello Veselin,

Timeline Overnight view covers my case, but just in context of Timeline view. We use another type of view - week view. So, basically, we need timeline behaviour but in context of week view. I'm attaching two images:

The first one - current beheviour.

The second one - what we need.If I do an overnight for Satrurday, a new time slot appears on Sunday morning. Do you think is it possible?

Thanks,

Dima.

Hi Dima,

As far as I can understand, in the Scheduler you need to display a single "abstract" Week view. This view should display events that start on the last day of the view (Saturday), but end on its first day (Sunday). The TimelineWeek view is not a viable option in your scenario.

If this is the case, I am afraid, that the Scheduler could not be configured to render the required result. Nevertheless, such rendering might be possible by implementing a Custom Scheduler view. In case you need any assistance on implementing such view, I would recommend you our Professional services team. Our colleagues are focused on providing tailor made solutions as per customer requirements. Let me know if you are interested in cooperating with them and I will arrange someone from the team to contact you directly.
