Only allowing max of 2 columns sorted

Is there a way to max out how many columns can be sorted on a grid?

Like:

sortable: {
                    mode: "multiple",
                    allowUnsort: true,
                    max : 2, //Something like this?
                },

I'm afraid to say that currently that is not possible. Such feature might be useful however, be sure it will be revised by the team. We will appreciate if you could share your idea at our uservoice page. Thus the community would be able discuss and vote for it.
