Hi there,

We're in the process of extending our existing demo at http://openaccess.spirit.de/ and allowing CRUD operations.

On first load everything is working well, but once you are start scrolling the edit button stops working correctly.
The following short video demonstrates the behavior or feel free to use this test page http://openaccess.spirit.de/crud.htm (in Firefox make sure to filter otherwise you won't see a working scroll bar, but this is an separate issue).

https://saucelabs.com/jobs/a135eb7d6a034b44af647902e554f0c8

Looks like as if the edit button is not hooked up correctly to records that are retrieved while scolling. Delete button is working all the time.
Any hints how to solve this issue are appreciated.

Thanks,

Rainer

Hi Rainer,

We have able to locate the cause for the issue you have described and the fix will be included in the next internal build. I have also updated your telerik points.

Please note that virtualization feature of the DataSource is special mode of the component which is oriented more to readonly scenarios thus it may give some unexpected results when use during editing.

Hi Rosen,

Excellent news! Is there a regular schedule for internal builds?

I was re-reading  information about the virtualization feature at http://demos.kendoui.com/web/grid/virtualization-remote-data.html, but couldn't find your recomendation to use virtualization preferably in read-only scenarios. Maybe worth to point that out.

Thanks for the clarification

Hello Rainer,

There is no exact schedule for the internal builds. A new one is usually uploaded when enough fixes are accumulated. This usually happens in a two-three weeks period.
