 2012.1.515 is a service pack release which means it is available only to commercial license holders. We update the NuGet package only on major updates.

Hello Atanas,

So this presents a problem for our organization. I understand that NuGet doesn't really provide you with a way to secure a package with a licesne key and you want to provide some benifit to commercial users, but we're migrating to a "NuGet only" approach meaning we won't take dependencies unless they in NuGet to avoid have a big checkin location on disk for third party items. This would leave us either with creating our own packages or not updating until you put out another major release.

As an aside, your current package doesn't list a dependency on JQuery 1.7.1 which would be helpful because updating to 1.7.2 broke Kendo for us.

One option I could propose is Telerik hosting it's own pacakge feed for commercial people, tying login to our accounts and updating those packages more frequently. I'd appreciate a response from your leadership on this as your current approach may force us to abandon Kendo as a UI technology choice.

Hi Dan,

 Creating a private NuGet repository is not in our immediate plans. It would require some infrastructure changes in our public web sites which cannot happen in the near future. I suggest you open new item in our user voice page so we can track the interest in such a feature.

 On a side note we are not aware of any issues with jQuery 1.7.2. This is why we have not set a dependency to 1.7.1. Could you share with us what those problems were?

I'd like to second the wish for a private nuGet repo. Not just for Kendo, but for everything Telerik. It would make managing dependancies and different versions on different project a lot easier. It also brings additional benefits for automated builds as a buildserver could actually fetch the correct version before building. It would reduce the amount of work when upgrading to nearly zero for us.

Hi guys,

You may be happy to know that starting Q2'13 (2013.2.716) we already offer NuGet trial and commercial packages for Kendo UI Complete for ASP.NET MVC. You should be able to find them under your site account's > Product Files Download > Kendo UI Complete for ASP.NET MVC > Other Setup Files group.

Feel free to host them on your private NuGet repositories. We'll consider to have our own private NuGet repository for this purpose in the future.

That is great.   One other request thought would be to include both the minified and un-minified versions of the files to assist with debugging and so that we can use bundling.
