Would it be/is it possible not to have the docked panels filling the entire space available?  The scenario we require is to have items docked left, right and bottom and the remaining space to be filled dynamically by tabbed documents at run time after some user action takes place.

Best regards

Hello Marek,

you can use the TdiContainerVisible property - just set it to true in design time. It indicates whether the tabbed document's main container will initially be visible. Then you can open Advanced Layout Designer and design/set the windows position and space as you desire.

Hi Julian
Thank you for that.  I thought all was well following your suggestion, but I tried to add a panel docked left and then another docked right.  As soon as I try to add the second one the designer throws an index out of range exception.  In the VS design time this brings down the dockmanager control and in the Layout Designer it causes the layout designer form to disappear.

Hope this feedback helps.

Best regards

Marek
