Thank you for the description.
The expected behavior when setting the SelectionBoxesVisibility property to Collapsed is for the SearchAutoCompleteBox to contain only the selected item without the border and [x] button.
I tried to reproduce the described scenario but was unable to.
Attached, you can find a sample project which demonstrates how the property works. Please, review it and let me know if I am missing something.

Hi Dimitar,
Thanks for the sample project. Apparently I have discovered a bug. The problem is caused by the AutoCompleteMode. Adding it to the RadMultiColumnComboBox in your sample with value "Search" or "Suggest" shows an empty box after selecting an item.
