I just installed the Telerik Reporting Q3 2009 tools. The installer added a tab in my toolbox called #13119. It is emtpy. There is also a tab called Telerik Reporting Q3 2009. It contains the following controls: Pointer, Barcode, Table Wizard, Barcode, Table Wizard (yes, the controls are duplicated in the tab).

I have tried reinstalling the reporting tools. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Hello Jimmy Hill,

Try to to reset the ToolBox by invoking "Reset Toolbox" command from the toolbox context menu.

Best wishes,

Hi Jimmy,

We have the following questions/suggestions:

  • can you clarify which version of Visual Studio you're referring to?
  • did you login with account having administrative privileges while installing? - if not make sure you run it as administrator.
  • do you have instance of Visual Studio opened while the install was running? - if not make sure there are no Visual Studio instances opened.

You can also try:

  • choose reset from the context menu of the VS toolbox
  • open VS cmd prompt and run devenv /setup
If none of the above helps, you can resort to manual installation. To force them being added, please either uninstall/re-install or use the repair option with administrative privileges.

Sincerely yours,
Steve

"choose reset from the context menu of the VS toolbox"

That worked. I had tried it before and it did not work. The only difference what that I did not have a solution open this time. Thanks very much for you help!
