New (trial) installation - can't create new project due to missing templates

Hi telerik,

I just downloaded a trial version and fired up vs2010.

When selecting Create New Project, choosing C# RadControls WPF Application, the Project Configuration Wizard opens.

Components as well as Themes are empty lists.

Download shown an error message: Error retrieving latest version information. Please, try again later or contact the Telerik team.

Browse does not appear to find anything of relevance, I've tried some of the directories of the installation, but do not know what I should be looking for.

What do I need do to make the download working?

What version of our RadControls you are currently using  for WPF 3.5 or WPF 4.0? The project templates will be empty if you use RadControls 3.5 in VS 2010 with target framework 4.0, you need to change this target framework to 3.5 and you will get the desired behavior. Please try the approach above and let me how how it goes.

Yes, it could look like you are on to something.

My downloaded file is called RadControls_for_WPF35_2010_3_1110_Trial.msi - and I use .Net 4.0.

Changing the target framework did not resolve the issue, however, nor was it a satisfactory solution anyway as we are using .Net 4.0.

I try and download the 4.0 version (now I'm getting a different download page where I can specifically choose, I didn't get that earlier).

Consider this issue closed and I'll let you know if the new download is also causing problems...
