The Telerik build 2019.3.917 was built using .NET Core 3.0-rc1.  Are you planning to release a new 2019.3 release that is complied against the .NET Core 3.0 Release build?  Is it even necessary, or will the Telerik WPF Core assemblies references work for the newer .NET version?

Hello,

The Telerik .NET Core assemblies should work also with the release build of .NET Core 3.0. Additionally, with the next LIB that will get released on Monday the Telerik dlls will be built against the .NET Core release build.

Hi Martin,

Hope it's okay to piggyback on this thread. Just updated my VS to the Net Core 3.0 release. Also updated Telerik. But I cannot get the Telerik Controls to show up in the toolbox when I create a Core project, despite following the installation instructions. Note, everything works fine if I create a .NET Framework project. Should I just wait until Monday, update again, and try again?

Hello Wayne,

Yes, try with the update from this Monday. Also, keep in mind that the toolbox setup is a bit different when it comes to .NET Core. You can see how to do this in the .Net Core Support article. Basically, you will need to use nuget package in order for the toolbox to show up.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for that link. It is most helpful.

Re: the update, quick question. I have checked the "Include Internal builds in Latest Version update and retrieval", but when I check my Telerik UI for WPF installation after initiating an update through the Progress Control Panel, it shows me version 2019.3.917, which dates back to Sep. 17, 2019, not September 30 or even September 23, and the Release History doesn't show anything after Sep. 18.

What else do I have to do to get the most recent release?

Hello Wayne,

The Release History page shows notes only for the official releases and service packs. The Latest Internal Builds (LIB) doesn't have release history. Those notes goes live with the history for the official releases.

As for the dlls, can you tell me how exactly you update the project? By "Include Internal builds in Latest Version update and retrieval" I guess you mean the checkbox in the Telerik Visual Studio Extension's Options menu? If this is the case, then you will need to use the Upgrade Wizard in order for the checkbox to get taken into account. Can you try upgrading your project with the Upgrade Wizard and let me know how it goes? If this doesn't help, can you please send me the project you are using so I can check it on my side and see what happens?

Another thing that you can check is your license activation period. The license assigned to your account (the one used to login in the Telerik nuget server) must be active. Otherwise, you won't be able to download the latest versions (only the ones released during the activation period).

Hi Martin,

I've done and confirmed everything you've suggested. Only problem is, I don't seem to have access to the Upgrade Wizard. See attached picture.

Hello Wayne,

The Upgrade Wizard option is available only when a project that references Telerik dlls is selected in the SolutionExplorer of Visual Studio. If you click onto another project or the solution itself, the option won't be visible.
