Is it possible to have a multiple lines in the header row for the column names? I am migrating an existing HTML table to use the MVC grid (see attached). I have tried placing a new line character ('\n') in the Title field but it does nothing.

In order to enable wrapping in the header cells you can use the approach described in the thread below. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
