Hi,

I have installed the last visual studio update (15.7.6), and after this, Telerik Reporting Controls dissappear from Toolbox. I have removed and reinstall reporting, but the problem continues.

I have this problem on my 2 computers, both, updated to vs 15.7.6 and both with missing reporting controls. All other telerik wpf controls is working fine, only reporting controls that is missing.

Help me please!

Hello Cleidson,

All project should be upgraded to use the same Telerik Reporting version. Major releases can co-exist on the machine, but cannot be used and work together in the same application. Also Visual Studio will load only the items for the latest installed version and if the opened project is upgraded to it.
For more details, please refer to the following articles:

Additionally, you can find step-by-step instructions on how to display the toolbox items from this KB article - Telerik Reporting Toolbox items are missing.

The problem occurs when starting a new WPF Project, so, upgrade reporting questions is not relative to it.

I have tried, some solutions, posted in the related article, but, not working for me.

My supported period, had finished a few weeks ago. And I have not renewed the licence yet. Maybe, would be a "incentive" to renew the licence to obtain oficial support? :(

Hi Cleidson,

I would need some additional information in order to investigate further the case:
- What version of Telerik Reporting is installed on your machine?
- What means by trying some solutions? Did you test all of the suggestions of the point 1.Toolbox items are missing?

Although, you'll have to make sure that the Visual Studio is installed before Telerik Reporting product, thus to enable the support for the corresponding Visual Studio version - for more information, please check step 2 of How to install Telerik Reporting help article.

Reporting items in Visual Studio toolbox will only appear if the project references the latest installed version of Reporting. Therefore, make sure to update assembly references to the latest version by running Telerik Reporting Upgrade Wizard. After that, rebuild the project and open the report designer again to see if the items appear in the toolbox.

In case the items do not appear after rebuilding the project and restarting Visual Studio, you can test adding them manually as follows:
1. Right-click on the Toolbox area.
2. Select "Choose items..." option from the context menu.
3. In ".NET Framework Components" tab of Choose Toolbox items dialog check the missing components from Telerik.Reporting assembly.

As a side note, test also to create a new ClassLibrary project, and add a report - as a result the Toolbox items must be loaded.
I can also suggest you to run the Reset Toolbox option in Visual Studio or delete the hidden .tbd files from "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\<version>"

In case the issue persists after that, please follow all suggestions in the Telerik Reporting Toolbox items are missing KB article.
