Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to merge all the cell of a row, so this row will have only one cell that will take all the length of the crosstable. I'm not sure if I explain it cleary, so I attached a picture to this post. In this picture, you can see that I have a crosstable group by the sex of a person (so, two groups) and the first group show the actual looks of my report and the second group what it should look like. Is anybody know how to do this ?

Thank you
David

Hello David,

The Crosstab supports merging of cells. However the option is only available for cell in the same group and static group cells. Thus you can't merge static group cell with dynamic ones, because the dynamic group column has a variable number of cells. Generally to set up the required layout our suggestion is to:
  • set the report datasource;
  • set up a report group instead of the crosstab row group;
  • set the crosstab/table datasource with binding expression =ReportItem.DataObject.
Check out the attached sample report that illustrates the suggested approach.

You may find useful the Understanding table cells, rows and columns and Grouping Data help articles. if you need additional assistance we will appreciate if you send us the report definition to examine locally.
