At the moment the Kendo UI Grid does not support this type of functionality out of the box. This was posted as a suggestion in our feedback forums, so if it gets enough votes, it will be developed for one of our future releases. In the meantime I would like to give you a link to a blogpost, where one of our users have this implemented using a table injection into the Grid column.
