Have just upgraded to 2010 Q2 SP2 and found that when manually entering or editing of a date, that when you get to the year portion the control just clears everything and goes back to 01/01/1900 in the drop down portion.  Confirmed that this occurs in the demo app as well.  This is a critical problem as the drop down picker is not very useful when you have to enter historical dates like birthdays etc.

Hello Andrew,

(Can you please elaborate and describe the problem step by step, in order to try and provide a solution, i tried all sort of things by manually entering dates from the keyboard, selecting dates by mouse, programmatically changing the date, everything worked fine.

P.s. also please check your MinDate, MaxDate and NullDate properties

Please provide some more details on what are you trying to achieve.)

Update... same problem here...

Thank you,
Best Regards,

Hello Andrew Powrie,

Thank you for your feedback.

I was able to reproduce this issue. It will be addressed in the next major release Q3 2010. Your Telerik points have been updated for the feedback. Please let us know whether this is a show stopper for you. If this is so, we try to address the issue soon and will prepare an internal build that contains the fix.

Best wishes,

Hi Alon,

Thank you for writing.

In case this is a show stopper for you and you can not wait until mid-November for our official Q3 2010 release, please open a new support ticket and request the internal build that we have prepared for the RadDateTimePicker issue. My colleagues will send you the internal build accordingly.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Greetings,

Hello guys,

@Stefan, I'm sorry to say this but i think you are loosing poss customers because of this issue, please direct your attention to this thread, I've been trying to guide others into using these controls, because, in my opinion, they are significantly better than the standard windows controls, but if these obvious bugs are not getting fixed faster there is nothing more i can do to help...

Hello Emanuel,

Thank you for writing.

We appreciate your willingness to help the others who bump into this issue. I also would like to thank you for your constructive feedback.

As you know we are aware of this issue and this is why we will do out best to solve it in the next official release. Meanwhile, we are providing our customers with an internal build where we have rolled back the changes that were made to this control. Currently, this is the quickest fix that we can provide. Additionally, as I said we are working on refactoring this part of the control for the official release, which is much preferable instead of providing our customers with a "quick fix".

I hope you find this information helpful and thank you for your outstanding help. Should you need any assistance, do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,
Stefan
