Lookup column problem

Hi,

I get this error when trying to display gridview with lookup column. Any clue where's the problem?

Column bound to lookup is called ContactRoleID, ValueMember is Id and DisplayMember is Description. ContactRoleID of grid datasource is same type as Id from the lookup list (string).

I'd like to add I'm using custom build of Q2 2008 version 7.0.1.0. This behavior is present also in other lookup columns, not only the case mentioned.

I was not present in Q1 2008 until I used today(s) custom build, which eliminated bug posted by davidhog, but introduced this issue (IIRC I've already seen it earlier in Q3 2007 or Q1 2008 but I can't find it on the forum).
