Hi,
Sorry if this is a duplicate question (I did have a search and could not find it).

I have got a KendoUI Mobile app and I am incorporating some dataviz elements (Radial Gauge for example).

It all integrates fine, however this is my question:

- Should the KendoUI Mobile be applying some styling to the dataviz elements? At the moment no styling is being applied meaning that on certain mobile OS's the dataviz objects become unreadable (due to background colors, labels etc).

I was rather hoping that the KendoUI mobile would apply the styling to these elements for me.

Can you advise?

Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,

I am afraid that at present Kendo UI Mobile does not provide a specific styling for DataViz charts. Could you please provide screenshots which illustrate the issue what you experienced? Probably we would be able to suggest a DataViz skin that will fit in your scenario.

Thanks for the reply.
I have attached a screenshot. The problem lies with the windows mobile and android OS as these render an application background of black (which I want to keep). The dataviz radial gauge then becomes unreadable (as illustrated in the photo).

Edit: also I know I can style the tabs in the dataviz element, however the black looks good in IOS and Blackberry.

Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the screenshot.
As a solution I suggest you to:
  1. Use different DataViz Skin - for example Black/Metro Black/Moonlight are designed to be used for application with dark background.
  2. Use the Gauge's configuration options to change labelsmajorTicks and minorTicks color. For example: http://jsbin.com/ahojis/2/edit

In case you cannot find a color combination that suits to both white and dark backgrounds, you may determine on which mobile device the application is opened (kendo.support.mobileOS) and initialize the Gauge with a different configuration according to the platform.

I hope this will help.
