The latest release (2015 Q1) appears to have added a line across the menu under the first item.  Is there any way to get rid of this?

It even shows up in the demo: http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/menu/index

Hi,

I am creating a Gantt chart using kendoUI and angularJS datasource being webapi(json call).

I am following the demo

http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/gantt/resources

I  have two issue
1. When we click on Assigned Resources, if I uncheck the resource which is checked, it is not getting removed from the Gantt chart.
2. When I check the resource it is not getting added to the Gantt chart.

Its really urgent, I am working on this issue from past one week and I am no where.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have read the documentation on using DataSource for CRUD locally. However, I am wondering can I use DataSource for local CRUD and then later the user presses on Save button on the form whereby I send all changes (updates, destroyed and created) in one AJAX call to server and then later update the data in the DataSource to signal those that were created with new Ids, updates, and removed ones?

In other words, I am hoping to use DataSource for local storage and data management, however, I handle updating the server and then back updating DataSource.

Thanks

Hi I'm evaluating the Telerik Gantt component.

I've only worked with the 'basic' Gantt example and haven't gotten much further yet.

Before I dig deeper, I'd like to ask, can this component be used to depict a 'critical path' diagram?

Can you advise what I might need to do?

I was thinking I would remove the dates being displayed and try to emphasize the critical path with a different color or re-ordering of the tasks. I haven't really looked at the critical path algorithm and was hoping someone at Telerik was way ahead of me.

Cheers,
Andrew

Using pure jQuery, I have a ComboBox that retrieves values from a webservice.  How do I set the initial value such that it shows the name, and not the ID?

For example I have 1 million customers in my database, but on page load I want to show that customer #17, Bob's Burgers, is currently selected.

I'd like the combobox to initially show  [Bob's Burgers] and have a value of 17.

Thanks in advance!

var a = $(item).kendoComboBox({
       placeholder: "Select",
       dataTextField: "Name",
       dataValueField: "id",
       filter: "contains",
       autoBind: false,
       width: "400px",
       dataSource: {
           type: "json",
           serverFiltering: true,
           transport: {
               read: {
                   type: 'POST',
                   url: "../WebServices/DropdownWebService.asmx/SearchCompanies",
                   item: item,
                   contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8',
                   datatype: 'json',
                   data: function (result) {
                       return {
                           ssid: globalValues.ssid,
                           query: result.filter?result.filter.filters[0]?result.filter.filters[0].value:"":"",
                           type: $(this.item).attr('data-type')
                       }
                   }
               },
               parameterMap: function (options) {
                   return JSON.stringify(options);
               }
           },
           schema: {
               data: "d"
           } // schema
       },
       template: '<span class="col-first"><span class="type-box-#: data.EntityType#">#: data.Name#</span></span>'
   });

I have a client dashboard that has 4 small line graphs positioned left to right. The tooltip for the values on the right side of the first 3 graphs appear over the top of the next graph, however, the z-index of the next graph appears to be higher than that of the tooltip, so the tooltip appears underneath the graph and is difficult to see. Is there a way to change the z-index of the tooltip or the graphs so that this doesn't happen? Thanks.

UPDATE: I resolved this by changing the z-index of the div container for each of the 4 graphs and making each one 1 level below the previous.

Hi

The following bug affect only Chrome.
Looking at the online example there is a bug in the export to PDF:

http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/map/export

If you don't move or zoom the map it works fine, but if you pan or zoom and then you try to export you get exported a blank or wrong area of the map and not the one you are looking at.

Same issue is present in the export to image but with a lower viewport error.

Best Regards,
Marco

Hi there,

is someone able to explain the difference between the products "Phonegap UI" and "Kendo (Mobile) UI" to me? I would like to start a Phonegap/Cordova Project using VS2015 and I've got a Kendo UI licence - why should I buy Phonegap UI?

Cheers,
Manuel
