Thank you for your suggestion and feedback.
I am afraid we do not regard an IRC channel as a practical approach to knowledge sharing, due to its ad-hoc nature and lack of information storage. While realtime assistance is surely useful, the most successful and widely used technical support channel is different, namely StackOverflow, where a Kendo UI category exists.
On the other hand, customers with a DevCraft Ultimate license already have ways to obtain quick assistance via direct communication on the phone or remote web sessions.

IRC Channels aren't about official support. They're about community usage and conversation.
To that end, I'll hang out in irc://irc.freenode.net##kendoui and see if anyone shows up.
Such a pity there is no IRC channel for Kendo.. I mean the "legitimate" documentation is not great help btw.. I've been searching how i can disable an option in drop down list for 2 days now.. Funny how something that simple was not considered for all these years and the widget is meant to be a replacement of the default <select> UI. The least is to replicate whatever is available and build on that.
I saw some links where it says I handle that in the select event.. The event and its dataitem and all that are not working.. and I'm browsing the myriad of documentations to find a solution to my silly problem. If I were to decide which technology to use, I'd probably select something more reliable in terms of documentation and technical resources.
Although that there is no built-in functionality for disabling the selection for specific DropDownList items, a possible solution is demonstrated in the following HowTo example in our documentation:
We are doing our best to constantly improve the documentation and include as many examples as possible, mostly, based on commonly requested custom requirements. We are also improving the search in the documentation, so that relevant articles or examples could be found easier by the end user.
