kendo ui grid - header in bold

I tried to add this style but do not see any change. How to have the header for the grid in bold.

    font-weight: bold!important;    
}

[headerStyle] ="{'font-weight' : 'bold'}" in kendo-grid-column.

Hi why [headerStyle] is not working in the project? i want to align the text in the headers but its not working.
