[Solved] Can we stripe rows in a grid using a row template?

Is this possible? It would be nice to simply pass a param that defines the class assigned to every other table row. But if not, defining a row template and alt row template like .Net's repeater would suffice.

Column chart approximation and scaling

Hi There,

thanks for creating such a great UI tool. I have been able to generate lovely graphs. But I have an issue with Column chart, when I have values in array like 99,99,100,100,100, the chart scales up and all columns get scaled and display no columns because the y axis now goes to 90-05%. I need to show the originals values in the Y axis instead of logarithmic values.

Any solution in the new release?

Setting DropDownList height?

Hi,

I can see how to set the width of the drop down area, e.g.

var dropdownlist = $("#titles").data("kendoDropDownList");

dropdownlist.list.width(500);

But how to set the height? By analogy I tried the following

dropdownlist.list.height(500);

and it didn't have any effect.

Multiple grouping on specifying data source

var myDataSource = [{ firstname: 'me', lastname: 'you', Age: 5 }];

$('#grid')..kendoGrid({

data: {

dataSource: myDataSource ,

pageSize: 500 ,

group: { field: ' firstname ' , dir: "asc" },

groupable: false,

columns: [ { field: 'firstname' , title: ''} /* and so on */

});

I want to have groping on two columns for example on firstname and then sub grouping on

lastname when creating the grid. I know it is possible when the grouping is enabled and user can drag and drop multiple columns for nested groping, but I want to restrict the user from selecting himself and do the grouping on showing.

Maybe something like

group: [{ field: ' firstname ' , dir: "asc" },{ field: ' lastname ' , dir: "asc" }]

license compatibility question

Hello,

Just wondering, I'm working on a new version of my CMS which is licensed under the AGPL v3 license, Am I allowed to use the open-source version of KendoUI?

I know there are some differences between the AGPL and GPL licenses but the main-idea (open-source) is the same.

Binding grid row change to 2nd Grid

I've got a 3 areas on my page: a main grid, a form, and a tabbed area with many grids. When the main grid row changes, I fire off 2 functions. The first function "getRole" populates the form, the 2nd function "populateGrids" updates the grids in the tabs. The tabbed grids are binding fine, but instead of the data refreshing, the new data is added to the old recordset. Refresh() and read() do not work in this case. Is there a way to destroy the grids prior to running "populateGrids"? Code below. Thanks for the assistance - love the framework.

Two Combos, remote data, refuse to open

So well I mean they DO open...for a fraction of a second, then the close animation kicks in. Data is populated in the comobs after an autocomplete above. It doesnt happen with every search I do, but most :/

Seen anything like this before (didn't happen in beta2)

grid selected object

Hi,

I have bound my grid to a json data source and the data appears perfectly. How can i get the actual selected object in the change event? I can get all the text but I would like the bound object.
