If an optional parameter is missing, it is undefined. However, if a globbing parameter is missing, then it is an empty string.

Wouldn't it be consistent, if a missing globbing parameter would also be undefined?

Hi,

I am doing a POC for one of the project where I am required to show data in KendoUI Grid coming from WCF service. 

I've tried to create a sample but seems like no luck.

I looked around but couldn't figure out exact working sample. I've created a sample application. In Default.aspx page I am trying to get data from a WCF service i.e. HTML5Service.svc residing withing the same project. 

A simple call to service is done as shown below When I make a call using simple HTMl5.html page it gets called. But when I am trying to make a call through kendoGrid's datasource it's not getting called. 


A quick help will be highly appreciated. Since it help us to use kendoUI or not as our most of the business is dependent on WCF service.

    When using multi-axis chart, if the data item is more than 10,  the vertical axis of the chart should have been fixed  on the right will float to the chart on the page, whether this can be configured

Hi,
We are currently in the process of evaluating Kendo UI Data VIZ.
One feature we are looking for is the chart navigator (zoom) pane.
Unfortunately , It looks like it exists only in the Stock Chart but not in the "regular" chart.
We would like to use a line / area / Column/ Combination chart which contain non date x-axis with navigator pane.
Can I expect this feature in the near future.

I'd like a discussion about when to use widgets and when to use templates.

I use custom widgets quite a lot in my current (first) KendoUI Web project. And I think it's going well. The widgets do require a bit of boilerplate code, but I think they are straight forward to use and it is nice to have everything, html, bindings and behaviour nicely packaged.

Now I need a detailstemplate in a grid and my first thought was I like to use a widget there aswell. Then I was a bit hesitatious, am I overdoing things? Should I be using templates instead of widgets?

I'm having a bit of a problem with the kendoMobilePopOver -- 

Here's some code:

$("#user_popup").data("kendoMobilePopOver").pane.navigate("/Views/users/view_user.html");

The first time this runs, it's fine.  I have a data-show event that fires properly when this first loads.  However, subsequent calls do not re-load the view.  I've tried to .destroy() the view and the pane, and also set the .view().options.reload to false, but nothing seems to get this thing to reload.  Any hints??

I'm playing around with the new tooltip and so far so good!  I've run into one problem though, which might just be because the documentation has not been published yet.  I have a situation where I am showing a tooltip when the user hovers over a grid cell.  In the tooltip I have a button where if the user clicks that button I want to do something to the data in the grid for the selected row.  My plan was to bind the click event of the button from inside the tooltip's ContentLoad event .  But I can't figure out in ContentLoad if there's a way to determine what element caused the tooltip to display.  Is there a way to do this?  I'd like to be able to get the <td> of the grid cell, and traverse that up to the <tr> so that I can use that to retrieve the grid's data item.
