Hi all,
I've got the scheduler set up with the timezone setting ('Europe/Amsterdam') which is currently two hours away from UTC. The scheduler sends event times to the database back-end in UTC. When I add an event with start date timezone and end date timezone set to 'Europe/London', the start time and end times are correctly displayed (UTC+1 hour) in Day view, Month view, Week view but not in Agenda view, where the event is listed with the time set to the Europe/Amsterdam timezone (UTC+2 hours).

Is this intentional (for some reason) or am I missing something?

Best regards,
Henk

I have a treeview using a template for the nodes (see below).  Also have a form bound to the selected item in the treeview.  "Name" is speciified as the dataTextField.  My problem is the treeview is only updated when the Name field is changed.  It ignores changes to the Color field.  Is there some way to setup the template so that the nodes will change based on any of the referenced fields changing?

<script id="treeViewTemplate" type="text/x-kendo-tmpl">
    <span style="background-color:#: item.Color #">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span>
    #: item.Name #
</script>

I am adding the checkbox for each row on he Kendo Grid. I am also using grouping, sorting and paging options. Selecting the checkbox working fine but as soon as I either sort, group or do paging on the grid, the checkbox looses their states (all appears unchecked).

I tried using this thread http://jsfiddle.net/jkTU4/
But it didn't work on my local machine.

Please help.

Hello Team;

AS I was reading some of the notes from the ASP team regarding the vNext being developed from ground up and it's basically a new product, my understanding from their statement was that, vNext is NOT compatible with the previous ASP.Net. Another words, don't expect to load in your existing projects and expect it to compile and run. Lots of things have been removed and it's based on the mini version of .Net

This raises the question and concern and I would greatly appreciate if the team, can provide an answer and roadmap for the following questions.
Guessing the vNext breaks existing codes,
- What's going to happen with all the Kendo MVC wrappers?
- What's telerik's plan for this NEW ASP.Net?
- Will there be new Native control/widgets for the New ASP.Net?
- Based on the alpha version out, do you see major differences and direction change with vNext?

It would be very important for us to know the direction of Telerik with ASP vNext and a time table.

Thank you in advance!

As part of a11y (accessibility) testing, we found that when we have a table that extends beyond the bottom edge of the browser, and we are navigating the table via the keyboard, the cell in focus can go offscreen.

1) Place focus within the table
2) Navigate the table cells via keyboard (Arrows -> <UP>, <DOWN>, <LEFT>, <RIGHT>)
3) Note that when you access a cell that is off screen, the page does not scroll to allow you as the user to see it.

Is there a way to force the page to scroll to show the currently selected cell?

Thanks,

Hello,

for some customers, we need to create specific Kendo UI Widget skins.

In the past, we took an existing kendo skin (e.g. kendo.metro.css) and modified it. But with the new Gantt Widget we are facing a few issues.
For example the timeline 'table header' is not rendered correctly with the custom changes, the height is to small.

My question is, ist there a list of css classes or some docu about the classes which are used within the Gantt widget ?

Many thanks
Thomas

I have a grid which uses the "popup" editor.   Both fields in the editor are required.  When I clear the first field and click the "Update" button, the validation error message appears and obscures the second field on the screen.  If I type into the first field the original value that was there initially and tab out of the field, the validation error does not disappear making it impossible to see the second field in the editor (popup).  However, if I had enter anything else other than the original value back into the first field and tab out, the validation error disappears correctly.

I consider this a bug.  Is there some other place I should report bugs rather than in this forum?

I have a weird situation where I have 5 filterable columns on my grid and have a filter button outside my grid. I need to specify the filters and have the grid not filter right away. The user then clicks the Filter button and then i need to pass my filters to the controller. How do I do that and how do i iterate through the filter collection and set filter values to a concrete filter object :
public class GridFilters
{
    public string FieldName {get;set;}....

Hi,

In my app I have a ListView with a data-source that is bound to a local data array. I get new data from the network and update the array accordingly. Then I call datasource.read to update the ListView.

This seems to work fine with Android (Samsung Galaxy S3) and WP8 (Lumia 925), but with iOS 7.1 (iPhone 4), if I'm performing ListView scrolling at the same time the update occurs, usually the ListView hangs completely (crashes).

I can overcome this problem by preventing data-source updates during scrolling, but I guess this behavior could be somehow improved in Kendo Mobile too?

You should be able to reproduce this problem with the small sample program found below.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>html { font-size: 12px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; }</style>
    <title></title>
</head>
<body>

    <div data-role="view" id="flat" data-init="mobileListViewDataBindInitFlat" data-title="ListView" data-layout="databinding">
        <ul id="flat-listview"></ul>
    </div>

    <div data-role="layout" data-id="databinding">
        <header data-role="header">
            <div data-role="navbar">
                <span data-role="view-title"></span>
            </div>
        </header>

        <div data-role="footer">
            <div data-role="tabstrip">
                <a href="#flat" data-icon="stop">Flat
            </div>
        </div>
    </div>

    <script type="text/x-kendo-template" id="customListViewTemplate">
        <h3 class="item-title">${name}</h3>
        <p class="item-info">${foo}</p>
    </script

    <script>

      var flatData = [];
      var flatDs;

        function initData() {
            for( var i=1; i<21; i++) {
                flatData.push({ name: "Initial " + i, foo: new Date()});
            }
        }

        function mobileListViewDataBindInitFlat() {
            initData();

            flatDs = new kendo.data.DataSource({
                data: flatData
            });

            $("#flat-listview").kendoMobileListView({
              dataSource: flatDs,
              template: $("#customListViewTemplate").html()
            });

           setTimeout(function() { updateData(); }, 3000 );
        }

        function updateData() {

            var r = Math.floor((Math.random()*flatData.length)+1);
            if( r < (flatData.length / 2)) {
                console.log('update');
                flatData[r].foo = new Date();
            }
            else {
                console.log('insert');
                flatData.push({ name: "Inserted " + (flatData.length +1), foo: new Date()});
            }
            flatDs.read();
            setTimeout(function() { updateData(); }, 3000 );

    </script>

    <script>
        var app = new kendo.mobile.Application(document.body);
    </script>

</body>
</html>
