This is also reflected in our documentation at:
https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/grid#configuration-columns.footerTemplate
Perhaps we can add it in another section also, so it is easier to find. May I use this opportunity to ask where you looked in our documentation (if you did) when you came across this error?
