Kendo Drawer Overlay animation

Is there any way to make the drawer show a diferent animation?
I need the drawer to be shown as am Overlay not a Push content panel.
I found that jquery mobile is doing that, but my project is now is using kendo so we canot change and we understand they are not compatible (kendo and JQMobile).
Can we make it show as Overlay?

The drawer does not support the overlay animation you describe. You may suggest that in our Kendo UI Feedback portal.

Petyo, I understan this, we did what you said, but this will take time and the client is driving us nuts with this requirement.

Do you think we can use Jquery Mobile Panel as simple as it can be used? Or do you know of a widget that makes a (drawer, panel) with overlay animation that we can use?

 Please help.
