HI I am working to a a4 specific size template however if I resize the window the items change their positions i need the items on the report to stay constant how to i force items to stay at specific locations independent of screen resolution. I can send a copy of the report but only as a private attachment if required.

Hi David,
You are talking about resizing a window first, and then about screen resolution. It is not clear what is the exact issue. I believe if there is such an issue it should be reproducible even with a brand new report containing two simple text boxes, so you can send us a sample report here, or explain the exact steps to reproduce the issue.
To attach files privately, you can open a new support ticket and send the files there.
