Hi,
I am in the process of analysing as to which third party control might suit my company. I have a few questions. It would be great if i can find some help.
1.)Does Radcontrols for Winforms .NET 3.5 compiled?
2.)Does the rad grid view support hosting smart parts? We are planning to host a smart part(CAB-SCSF) in child relation within a master detail hierarchical grid view.

Hi HAri,
Thank you for your interest in Telerik Controls for WinForms.
1) Our controls are built against .NET 2.0, hence you can use them in .NET 2.0/3.0/3.5. You should not experience any problems with the new versions of .NET.
2) Generally speaking, we do support CAB, however we offer adapters of using our controls in CAB only. We do not support hosting smart parts in our products. Could you give us more details on your scenario? Additionally, RadGridView does not support row templates yet and it will be hard to include a non-Telerik element in RadGridView. We are interested in reviewing your case - could you give us you more information on what your requirements are? This will give us some ground to decide whether to support such cases or not.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for responding. The scenario here is in a master details grid intially the master details would be shown and options would be given to the user to expand the master rows to show their corresponding child detail(Note:Not child rows but child details). These child details would be delivered by a smart part. So was wondering if that would be possible. Also i've got few other questions.
Does the grid support dynamic resizing at runtime?
Also do the controls withstand resoluion changes?

Hi HAri,
Thank you for your questions.
Dynamic resizing works and resolution changes should not introduce any problems. Also, from the next version of RadControls for WinForms (Q3 2008), RadGridView will allow replacing of cells with user controls (and smart parts are in most cases user controls). So even if the RadGridView is not a workspace or an extension site you will still be able to show your detail controls.
All the best,
