Is it possible to have a fixed width and multiline text in the node area?  So that text would wrap.

Thanks

Hello William,

Unfortunately, this is not supported currently, but we will consider implementing it one of our future releases.

Hi Joe,

I am afraid that RadTreeView still does not support multi-line text in its nodes. We currently do not have plans to include this feature but we will probably implement it in a future release. Please write again if you have other questions.

I would also like to see this feature added.  Is there a workaround?  Perhaps by setting AllowArbitraryHeight to TRUE then programmatically inserting carriage returns/line feeds?

Thanks,
Austin

Hello Austin Winner,

Thank you for writing.

I am afraid that there is no workaround because layout of RadTreeView always gives enough space to each node so that its text is in one line. The text will be wrapped in multiple lines only if the layout constrains each node horizontally. This aspect of the tree view layout is not customizable and therefore can not be worked around. As I stated we do not have plans to provide this feature for RadTreeView since it uses our old obsolete layout system. We have unofficial plans however, to provide a new tree view control that will be much more flexible in how it visulizes its data.

Kind regards,
Victor
