I suspect the answer is no and that I will be directed to CSV Rendering Design Considerations & CSV Device Information Settings.

However, it seems not a little unintuitive for this to be a global rather than per report (or even per table) setting.

I am not (currently) set anything about reports programatically, my set up is simple, I have a report template on the report server that I run via the REST API and download the output document as a CSV.

I could, after downloading, then open the file and remove the header row. But I'm hoping that I am incorrect and there is some obscure report template setting somewhere, or perhaps an argument I can pass via the the REST api, that might allow me to decide on a per report basis how table headers are treated in CSV format.

Hello Darcy,

We also do allow configuring the device information settings per report through the Report.RuntimeSettings Property.

For full details and examples of how this may be done, please visit the Enable per-report allowed export formats configuration KB article.

Thank you for using Telerik Reporting!

Thank you, so that is a definite NO.

You might consider making this setting part of the report template itself. I have seen other questions/complaints that CSV exporting makes no logical sense.

The RuntimeSettings are a property of the report template itself(TRDP/TRDX/CS) so they are indeed configurable in the report definition, please forgive me if I did not make that clear enough.

I have attached a short video demonstrating how to set this setting inside the report template, please have a look at it.

Thank you for the follow-up clarification. I followed your first link and saw only code, but I don't think I would have been able to follow the content of the second link without the video showing what to do.

I works now. Thanks again.
