Hello

We are using Telerik Reporting 2011 Q3.

When viewing on a computer (IE, Safari, Chrome, FF) we have some reports that display within a viewer that is set to a certain size, and will use scrollbars if needed.

When viewing the same reports on an Ipad (Safari), the viewer has lost the scrollbars and has grown big enough to accommodate the report.

Any ideas as to how we can stop the viewer from resizing itself on the ipad?

Thanks

Cheryl

Hello Cheryl,

What iPad version and Safari have you tested this with? In our tests so far (and reports from users as well) we observe different behavior - the ASP.NET report viewer displays the report in an iframe and according to iPad user guide, which is bookmarked in Safari on iPad, scrolling by dragging a finger just scrolls the overall page, not the frame. To scroll the contents of the frame, you should scroll with two fingers in parallel, within the frame. We have not been able to observe the growing you reported.

All the best,

Hello

My iOS version is 5.1.1 and its running the same Safari that it shipped with.

Sorry, what I meant is that the viewer or iframe (it looks like a viewer but without scrollbars) is displayed full size to accommodate however big the report is (portrait or landscape), regardless of the sizing I have applied to the viewer.  The sc

This wouldn't normally be a big thing except that it doesn't push down the footer that would normally be displayed at the bottom of the viewer had it been displayed at the correct height.

While I can probably get around the footer issue by using an ipad specific stylesheet - my question is: why isn't the viewer/iframe being controled by the size I've set to it?

Thanks

FYI

I've gotten around my problem by checking the useragent and if an ipad increasing the height.
