We are considering purchasing Telerik Reporting but have encountered an issue while trying to install for a trial.

I am trying to install the Telerik.Reporting.Services.Mvc6 but it fails with:

"Could not install package 'Telerik.Reporting.Services.Mvc6 10.0.16.204'. You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETFramework,Version=v4.6.1', but the package does not contain any assembly references or content files that are compatible with that framework. For more information, contact the package author."

Can the service be installed in .NETFramework version 4.6.1?

Thanks

Hello Terry,

Telerik Reporting installer registers assemblies in the GAC and adds design-time support in the selected Visual Studio versions - Installing Telerik Reporting. There are no additional services that you have to install on the machine. Telerik Reporting libraries can be used in .NET projects. These libraries include the processing and rendering logic of reports.

Details how to start creating reports are available in the Quickstart section. And  to display reports in web applications you can use the HTML5 Viewer, or any of its wrappers.

Examples are provided with your Telerik Reporting installation under C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\Reporting R2 2016\Examples.

Regards,
Stef
