I do not see a telerik template for html UI for Windows 8 in New Projects.  How do I confirm the extension is install in VS and how do I get started.... Coming from a web developer background...  Thanks

Hello David,

We have temporarily removed the Visual Studio extensions from the Telerik UI for Windows 8 installation due to a technical problem. They will be back soon and you will be able to use the project templates. We will follow up in this thread when they are available for download from the Visual Studio Gallery.

Hi David,

I am writing with an update on this thread. The Visual Studio Extensions for Windows 8 HTML are now available. You can install them in Visual Studio by opening:
Tools -> Extensions and Updates

Click on the Online option on the left and then search for Telerik Windows 8 HTML VSExtensions. Select the resulting item and install it. The next time you start Visual Studio, the extensions will be available for use.

Okay I did this, but I still can't seem to add my Telerik tools to the References.
Any ideas?

Hello Christine,

Can you confirm that the version of the controls you installed is targetted for the OS that you are developing on. For example, you cannot install controls for Windows 8.1 and use them for development in Windows 8.0.

I can not download windows 8 html package with trial license neither via direct download link nor via installation panel nor with VS telerik extension also. Is it a temporary issue? Is it available with developer license or completely stopped for public usage? For how long?

Unfortunately, since Q2 2014 we discontinue supporting Telerik UI for Windows 8 HTML.
