I have a report and i need to insert a page break based upon a group. I already know that i can insert page break after any report section. But i need to break page in the detail section. I have a scenario something like that:
There are some summary rows (Based on a customer). After the summary rows, I want to show the details against that customer. This goes on for multiple customers. I need to break page after one customer's data ends. Now, i need to know that is there a way to insert page breaks within a section (Not after a section, i know it is possible).

I know this is not possible, but is this functionality added in the latest version (2013 Q1)...?

Hello Rehman,

From your scenario it seems that you need to group your data by customer and once you do that you will be able to use the currently existing page breaks and break after each customer. If that is not your case please elaborate - a more detailed explanation and possibly some screenshots will be enough.

Also please note that we have not added a page break item and this is a feature that is not very demanded since there already exists a mechanism for page breaks.

Hello,
I have to produce a report composed by 3 pages. On the first page I have, let's say, the driver licence of person A. On the second page I have, the driver licence of person B. On the third page I have other datas. The driver's licence is a collection of TextFields. The height of the driver's licence is fix. At the moment all TextFields are in the Details section.

I understood that there is no way to put a simple page break into the Details section.

I assume I could :
1. As the height of the driver licence is fix I coud insert the right space between the first and the second driver's licence at design time to force the second drivers licence to be showed on the second page at runtime.
2. I could put the first driver licence on Report header section, the second driver licence on the Details section and the last page on the Report footer section. Then set the page break on each section.

Apart from theese ugly solutions are there any alternatives ?

3. Could I group all TextFields of a driver's licence with a property as for exemple "KeepTogheter" ? How ?
4. If I put all TextField into a Panel ?

I would like also to make a subreport for a driver's licence. In that case I could reuse it for the first page and the second page.
In that case how can I get "first subreport in the first page" of the main report and "second subreport in the second page" of the main report ?

I have now TelerikReporting 4.2.10.
I could use also TelerikReporting 6.2.12

Thank you for any help.

Hello Pascal,

From your description it is not clear what is the current report's layout and what is the structure of the used data.

Generally only sections have PageBreak property thus if you need to organize your data into groups and set the property for each group.

Other approach we can suggest you is to use a ReportBook and gather several report definitions into one. The ReportBook will be shown and exported as a single document, also each report will start on a new page. There is an example in the local demos distributed with your Telerik Reporting installation, located by default under C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\Reporting <version>\Examples

I hope this points you into the right direction.
