IE9 doesn't show data-placeholder value at very first time.

Hi there.

Now I'm using the Kendo UI ver.2015.1429 and found the issue which does not show "data-placeholder" value on combobox at very first time when combobox is loaded.

But once I try to select any value from combobox it showed me "data-placeholder" value. So is there anyway to fix this problem? Or there will be new release soon?

Hello Jin,

Thank you for drawing our attention to this issue. It seems that widget does not display the placeholder value when the value is cleared with the API (MVVM value binding does this). We will address this in the next internal build due the end of this week.

I am afraid that I would not be able to provide a feasible workaround.

Hi Georgi,

We were having this same problem with the 2015.1.515 release, it was working correctly before that. I just updated to the 2015.1.515 internal build and it's still not working even though the changelog inidicates that it is fixed. Is there another fix coming?

It seems that there is still an issue with the data-placeholder in IE9 or lower. We will address the problem immediately and the next internal build, due for today, will include the fix.
