Can user select a rectangle area with mouse, and then kendo chart zoom into the area?

Hi Jianxun,

Please take a look at this forum post - there is an example of how to pan / zoom in a scatter chart with date axis. As for the selection and zoom - I am afraid at this point such a functionality is not supported in Kendo UI DataViz, however we keep this idea in mind for future releases.

Thanks Iliana. But I think the example http://jsbin.com/AdUyuNo/2/edit  you list is wrong. I mean, I spend minutes to learn how to zoom in/out with that chart, but still fail. I don't think users would like its interaction, since it is so confusing and hard to control.

I mean, in the example, the chart can zoom out, but zoom in failed.   Moreover, it is very hard to control.
I know it is easier to make a scatter chart zoom in/out when x-axis is numeric. But with date time x-axis, I really meet a problem.
