Hello,

In the RadMap documentation, under Overview, the following is in the key features:
Search - searching for a particular location takes just a few seconds thanks to the integrated search functionality in RadMap.
But nothing else indicates how this work.

I've tried to set IsTextSearchEnabled to true in my XAML, but I see nothing on the map that let me search for an address.

How doest this "feature" work?

Thanks in advance

Hello Patrick,

The search mechanism can be utilized through the BingRestSearchLocationRequest object. In order to get familiar with this mechanism, can you please take a look at the Search Location help article, as it covers the topic in details?

I hope it helps. I am staying at your disposal in case further assistance is needed.

Regards,
Stefan

Hello Stefan,

In the documentation it is said that the search functionality is integrated in RadMap.

If I need to add myself a user interface for the user to enter an address, this feature in not integrated in the control, it is just possible to use the provider to make a search.

If it was integrated, the RadMap control should provide something in its tool bar to search for an address...

Regards

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Indeed, your observations are correct. The search mechanism is not integrated in RadMap and I do agree that the description of the control's features can be improved so it does not mislead in any manner. I have logged an item in our system for improving the referred article according to your report and it will be updated shortly. I have also updated your Telerik points as a small token of gratitude for your cooperation.

Let me know in case I can be of further assistance.

Regards,
Stefan
