Hello,
I want to print a Section only on Bottom of the first page, without reserving the blanket space on the following pages...
I attempted two ways to solve the problem...
1) First I tried to make a Page footer which is invisible, and with conditional Formatting ("= PageNumber" = "= 1" ).
On this way I'm able to print the Page Footer only on the first Page, but on the following the blanket space is reserved.
2) The Second way is that i have tried to make a Goup Footer (Because if a GroupFooter is invisible the space is not reserved).
But the Problem here is, that the conditional Formatting don't work ("= PageNumber" = "= 1" ) because the variable "Pagenumber"
is not available in a Group Footer
Is there any way to resolve this problem?
Willi

Hello willi,
Up to your inquiry:
Due to the above reasons currently we can't suggest a solution for your scenario.

Up to your inquiry:
- Page headers/footers are not related to the report itself, but are relative to the margins of the report's media, i.e. to the paper or screen, so this is the expected behavior. The space they've taken up would always be preserved no matter whether there is content shown or they are not visible and this behavior cannot be changed.
- Since the paging of a report strongly depends on the format it is rendered to, the Page Header/Footer sections and their items are processed by the corresponding rendering extension after the report data has been processed. At this moment the report data source is not available anymore and due to this you can use the built-in PageNumber and PageCount objects (which contain the current page number and the total report pages count) only in those section.
Due to the above reasons currently we can't suggest a solution for your scenario.

Team Telerik,
Might I suggest that the development crew add this feature to Telerik Reports? The ability to print a footer only on the first page without reserving the space on subsequent pages would be a really helpful addition to an already great application. There are lots of reporting applications that use it. Therefore, I hereby second willi's request. Where can I go and suggest this feature?

Hi Jonathan,
This request to no longer preserve the space for page sections when they are not visible has already been logged into our system and would be considered for subsequent version of the product.
