When I installed telerik, I found that the controls were duplicated, it seems that both the controls for net20 and .net40 were added. how do i just use .net40

Hi, Khanh,

I would recommend you to reset the toolbox. Please right-click on it and select the Reset Toolbox option:

Usually, before installing a new version of the Telerik UI for WinForms suite, please make sure that all existing old versions of the suite are uninstalled first.

I hope this information helps. If you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi Dess, Right!

I had previously reset and even removed them - cleaned the registry and checked the references but they were still, maybe I missed something. Maybe I'll check back tomorrow. Thanks for the reply!

Hello, Khanh,

Usually, the Toolbox loads the controls considering the references available in the GAC (Global Assembly Cache). Please make sure that you have only one version of the Telerik UI for WinForms suite there.

An alternative solution that I can suggest is to uninstall all existing Telerik WinForms versions on your machine via Windows >> Control Panel >> Uninstall a program. Then, install the desired version. After restarting Visual Studio and re-initializing the Toolbox items, it is expected to see only once each control.

Should you have further questions please let me know.
