How to insert a section with text and image that will change depending on a field value.

Hi,

I am using telerik report designer. I want to insert in my report a section with text and image that wil be different based on the value of a field. This field is a location and I want the section to show a map (can be picture only) and instructions how to get there.

What would be the best way to do that?

I have tried doing a subreport but I have not managed to make it work yet.

Any tips are welcomed!

Hi Charlotte,

If it has to be in separate sections with different data based on a field, you may create a group section and group by that field, each generated section group section will have data based on the grouped field - How to Add groups to Report.

Regarding Maps, Telerik Reporting offers the Map Report Item when maps are to be included in a report. The simplest way to add a Map item to your report is to run the Map Wizard. After you add a Map item to the design surface, you can click its elements to edit the selected element's properties in the Properties grid. Additionally, in the Standalone Report Designer, you can use the Ribbon tools.

If you installed with the default settings, the folder with the example reports should be at the following location:
