I want to print multiple pages with a predesigned format (blank pages with no detail, only header and footer) and in the bottom I put the page number. for example, tell you the order number (parameter), how many pages I want to print, and when I click a button to show me or send me to print the format and page in top the order number I gave him and in the page footer print: page 1 of 5, etc..

Can we do this?

Thanks

Hello Manuel,

Yes it is possible to accomplish such a task, although this is not the common usage of a reporting product. Basically you have to prepare your detail section height to be the desired page height minus the heights of the page header and page footer section. As the detail section works as a repeater i.e. it is repeated for each record of the data source, in order to specify the number of pages from a report parameter, you would have to instantiate as many data source records as desired pages. This can be done in the NeedDataSource event of the report, see the attached report for sample implementation.

Hi Manuel,

As explained earlier, this is not an average scenario for a reporting product, so we've tried to explain what we've done to accomplish this in details in our previous post.
