How much of page used before print

Hi.

Is it possible to know how much of page will be used before print it? (The data is dynamic)

The ideia is to know how much of page will be used to decide if I will print in only one page like below or two pages.

customer receipt
some data printed

-------------------------
company receipt
some data printed

If customer receipt pass the size that I tought then I will use two or more pages.

Hi Wilton,

You could put your :
  • customer receipt
  • some data printed
data in a report or a table group and set the "Group Keep Together" property to True. This way the paging algorithm would try to keep this group on one page.

The paging mechanism calculates the position of report items based on the physical size of the page. This view utilizes the same paging algorithm as when printing the report on a printer, exporting in PDF or MS Word (both use physical page setup as well). That's why you should not try to calculate the occupied page space and utilize the built-in reporting techniques instead.
