I want to use grids much like in the web examples: http://demos.kendoui.com/web/grid/index.html  only using Kendo Mobile, what is the right way to achieve this?

Hi Gal,

Kendo UI Mobile differs from Kendo UI in that it is designed to work on small screens with touch input, rather than large screens with a more precise pointer input.

Mobile apps usually use lists instead of grids to display data, like Kendo UI Mobile's ListView. If you own a Kendo UI license you can certainly include it in your app and use any of the Kendo UI widgets you like. However, some of them might not feel quite right on a small mobile device, simply because they weren't designed with this form-factor in mind.
