Dropdownlist and tree selectors have a .Animation() option to disable the animations but this is missing from the dropdownbutton functions.

Is it possible to disable these animations? If i have to disable them sitewide thats also fine, but some direction would be great!

Hi Sebastian,

By default, the DropDownButton does not expose a public method to disable the animations, like the DropDownList. In this case, you can access the client-side object on page load, get a reference to the popup element and disable the animations:

<button id="button">Paste</button>
$(document).ready(function() {
  let ddb = $("#button").kendoDropDownButton({
    icon: "clipboard",
    items: [{
        id: "keep-text",
        text: "Keep Text Only",
        icon: "clipboard-text"
      }, {
        id: "paste-default",
        text: "Set Default Paste"
      }
    ]
  }).data("kendoDropDownButton");

  ddb.setOptions({
    popup: {
      animation: false
    }
  });
});

You can test in the following Dojo.
