You may go through our Getting Started articles. This is a step-by-step tutorial for creating a report and integrating it into an ASP.NET project. The latter is explained in Integrating the Report in VS App article. It utilizes the Html5 Viewer in an empty (e.g. not an MVC) Web application as this is more general. You may use an MVC application instead and add the MVC Report Viewer in the same manner.
