Hiding $type Sub-Property from ExpandoObject Property

Is there an easy way to hide the $type Property of an ExpandoObject in the PropertyGrid? See attached screenshot.

Thank you for the provided picture. 

What I can suggest is setting the Cancel property of the event arguments of the AutoGeneratingPropertyDefinition to false for that specific property definition. Can you give this approach a try and let me know how it goes?
