Hi,

I am in urgent need for the help on this as customer demo is after one week.

I am looking for grouping of table and chart (pie) so that entire report can display multiple rows containing both of them based on group by date.

To be more precise kindly check the image attachment. I need step by step guide on this one.. no time to do Rnd on this.

Please point me to possible video tutorial.. guide mentioned over sites are confusing.

please take some similar data and make video on it.. it would be useful to other too.

Thanks

Hi Chandrak,

The approach you need to use is to bind the nested data items (Graph and Table) to the section's data object - Use DataObject as a datasource for nested data items (Table, List, Crosstab, Graph). If you need to have grouping in the report, you can add the Graph and Table items in the GroupeHeaderSection and leave the Detail section blank.

The attached video illustrates the above suggestions. The Pie chart is created via Graph item - How to: Create Pie Chart. The video can be previewed in IE browser.

If you need further help, please contact our Sales team who can make a presentation of the product for you. You can also submit a support ticket where you can attach your demo project and elaborate on the issues you have with it.

Hi Thanks for your reply..

http://docs.telerik.com/reporting/data-items-how-to-nest-graph-in-table

is this even working? there is no way you can drag and drop graph in crosstab cell..where is so called insert button mentioned in this article? I am using latest downloaded version.

project is commercial grade and not just demo. This project I've created long back but could not sell..because company refused to invest into.. after long time some other company shown interest into it.. so cant attach anything here.. its huge.

Hi Chandrak,

The tutorial relates to the Standalone Report Designer, where Reporting items are loaded in the Insert tab. In Visual Studio you should use the VS Toolbox to get a Table Wizard or Table item.

Please check the video provided in my previous post. It illustrates similar layout, where data is presented directly through the report, instead of using a nested table item.

If you prefer to use a nested Table item, check the video attached to this post. The video requires Flash and it can be previewed in IE browser. We have an issue related to nesting items directly in Table item's cells that is in development. Until there is a fix, items can be designed outside the container item, and then you can drag them into the cell of the Table item.

Please note that ready to use solutions are out of the support scope and the provided materials only illustrate the approach to achieve the desired layout. If you need more details of presentation or an end-to-end solution, our Sales team can help you with information and they can contact you with teams like Professional Services.

Stef
