grouping and sorting not working in grid

I have found out that When we group on a particular column and try to sort on a column which is not the grouped column, sorting doesn't work at all...
Is there any configuration I have to set explicitly?

Hi Asanka,

The behavior you are experiencing is due to incorrect configuration. In the test page the DataSource serverSorting and serverPaging options are enabled however, the grouping is done at the client-side. In it advisable to set either all operations as server or none. Here is a modified version of your sample with disabled server operations. Note that when grouping is applied, sorting by column will yield the correct behavior of sorting the inner group items.

Please note that the demo service used in the example does not support grouping, this is why it is not enabled in the original demo site sample.
