I'm implementing the gridview in a 2.0 c# windows forms app.  When I export the gridview to Excel, all open instances of Excel crash. The export works, but crashing Excel is a little disruptive.

Has anyone experienced this in the past, and are there likely causes/workarounds?

Please advise...

Many thanks!

Hi Todd,

Thank you for your question.

Could you let us know which version of Telerik WinForms controls are you using? Also, what is the Excel version you are trying to open the exported file with?

I'm using "RadControls for WinForms Q3 2007 SP1".  My 2.0 c# project is referencing the "Microsoft Office 11.0 Object Library" and we're running "Office/Excel 2003".

The source code is pretty much straight from the samples...

Thanks!
Todd

Hello Todd,

Thank you for the additional information.

Currently, when exporting finishes, all COM Excel objects are closed. Please excuse us for the inconvenience. We will investigate this issue and address it in one of our future releases.

If you have other questions, do not hesitate to contact me again.

Kind regards,
