I am using your demo site for the Kendo editor.  I created a 4x2 table in the editor.  I then merged the first two cells horizontally, and the last two cells vertically.  I then changed some borders and set the table cell spacing in the wizard.  As I keep changing things, I see new cells get created unexpectedly.  We see this same behavior in our products.

This should be a 4x2 table:

Hi Bob,

Thank you for reaching out to us. This behavior has been reported and is logged as a Bug in our backlog. You can monitor the progress on the issue via this GitHub item:

https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/5401

For the time being, I am afraid I cannot provide a workaround for the issue. Once the issue is fixed I would advise updating the Kendo UI version you use in order to benefit from the fix.

Aleksandar

Aleksandar, thank you for confirming that this is a known issue.  Any timeframe for a fix?

Also, this is a similar issue that may be the same bug.  Go to table demo here:

https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/editor/table-editing

Click on the cell that contains "Campaign".  Open table wizard and create a border.  Notice that the entire header row shifts the columns to the right.

I also noticed that some borders do not work at all.  For example, click on February Actual cell.  Open table wizard, select Cell tab, create a 6px double red border, hit ok and nothing happens.  In other cells it works.

Hi Bob,

The moving of the header row appears to be related to the issue concerning the additional rows added by the wizard. I have increased the priority of the item, so it moves ahead in our priority queue.

As far as the styling not being applied I can confirm this is also related to a Bug, but sadly I cannot provide a workaround for this issue as well. I have logged an item on your behalf and you can monitor the progress on the issue here:

https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/5758

Finally, as a token of gratitude for helping us improve our product I have updated your Telerik Points.

Regards,
Aleksandar
