get selected item group?

Is there a way to get the selected item's group in kendo Dropdownlist with grouping?

Hello Jimmy,

Please take a look at this Dojo example. You can see that the dataSource is grouped by "Country". In the change event, I get the currently selected dataItem and I print the item's group (the country) on the console.
