In the examples that demonstrate the use of the document map the way in which it is displayed (font size, style, etc) is different. I am trying to determine how I can change they way this content is rendered but I can not seem to find it. I am currently looking how to make this work using the Web Viewer.

Hi Kevin,
Due to the current implementation of the DocumentMap, it would not be possible to expose such functionality for the web viewer, without having to rewrite the entire feature and possibly parts of the web viewer (as the DocumentMap is currently in a separate iframe).
A possible solution is switching to the Silverlight Report Viewer which is a template and you can easily edit its styles.
